Summer 2009

When people make a post about their summers and about everything they do it is annoying to have to read through an entire list of what they did and how great their summer was in comparasion to yours. But that is exactly what i'm going to do. I'm going to make a list of my summer experiences and memories. I could make this list anywhere, facebook, livejournal, but i want to do it here because I don't expect anyone to read it and I do not need to be judged by everyone I know on my list. This is just for me. Because this is definately a summer I want to remember. A summer that took place over a period of 4 months and I want to go back and remember every single aspect of what it was like to be young and free.

Summer 09:
-got a tattoo.
-dyed hair from brown to blonde; veryy dramatic change.
-let my friends cut my hair.
-bought a new digital camera with touchscreen !
-gave out a fake number
-tried beaver tails finallyy
-starbuckss !
-late night pizza outings
-movie set of scott pilgrim vs the world !
-Tried Korean bbq for the first time.
-went shopping everywheree, promenade, vaughan mills, yorkdale, eatons center, stc, markville, etc etc.
-Went to the CNE.
-Went to Canadas wonderland with work people.
-Went to Canadas wonderland with all the cousins.
-Went to the cottage and stayed for a whole week.
-tanning in my backyard all the time .
-Melodys birthday and bbq and then timmies after.
-Baskin Robbins 31 cent scoop day.
-webcam pictures.
-Lost a close friend, but became closer with others.
-staying up all night watching movies and talking to melody online.
-Going to a bar while still underage but it was my first one.
-watching the new harry potter movie with everyone
-watching the ugly truth, transformers 2, etc .
-Club 300, first time meeting nathan and others, late night.
-Being stranded till 4am at leos house.
-celebrating victoria day and sams birthday at arms house.
-falling out of like with someone and meeting someone else.
-My 19th birthday at nava.
-Clubbing every weekend in august. Luxy, embassy, frequency, etc.
-meeting new people at these clubs/bars.
-2 guys in one night.
-Amandas party.
-drunken hookups.
-Watching running of the bulls at madeira park.
-going to madeira park twice.
-Dinner with cousin where I was asked to be bridesmaid
-swimming at cousins pool
-going downtown with many different people for some adventures.
-going out to eat all the time.
-getting my new hp laptop
-having a campfire in my backyard, roasting marshmellows and hotdogs.
-workingg during the summer suckss, but it must be done. working a lot this summer without manager.
-reading in the sun. my sisters keeper, twenties girl, l.a candy, etc.
-going fishing.
-water gun fights.
-driving an atv finallyy.
-eating smores as much as possible.
-new styles.


thats all i can think of right now, next year i should really just make this list day by day as the summer goes by haha.

Everything is okay

you know whenever people ask you how you are doing? and you always tell them the same thing. You are fine, you are okay, you're doing good. The most random people will ask you this question daily, store associates, dentists, doctors, telemarkerts. All people that you don't really know, and yet when you're friends or family ask you the same question you have the same answer. Everyone says that they are fine and they are doing well. But are they really? No doubt that there are people who really mean that life is going well for them but what about those times when you get into a nasty situation or fight and you're really upset about it and one of those randoms asks you how you are doing. What do you say? Same thing. And why? because it isnt their business nor their concern to know whats happened to you in your life. But what if life was different, what if we had no choice but to tell people EXACTLY how we feel when they ask us. What if it was something that we couldnt control and everyone would go about sharing their feelings and actually being honest about how they feel towards one another. Imagine, you find a guy attractive and he asks you how you are and you straight up tell him that you feel a connection with him. Or if you went to the doctors and your doctor asks you how you`ve been and you go into great detail about how upset you`ve been that your boyfriend dumped you for yoru best friend and your parents see you as a child with no freedom and your school work has been disasterious because all of this stress and etc.
Imagine a life where our emotions could never be hidden. I would assume that maybe people would stop asking each other how they are doing in fear that the answer they get is too personal. Or maybe we would all just know how everyone feels because everyone would have to be honest about it. Would that be so bad?

L.A Candy

Greattttt book . Just finished reading itt. If you havent already thenn you should definately look into reading this bookk. I really really liked it and its like the perfectttttt summer read. I believe there will be a second one outt which i will be looking forward to :)

Knowledge

It's funny, I can't do crosswords for the life of me. I alwaysss try and do them, I pick up the newspaper and everytime I say, i'm going to do this one, i can do it. and then I fail, but a week later i'll be back at it. I just can't know everything that this crossword wants me to know !
Except for the magazine ones, in People and Star. The ones all about celebrities and movies and pop culture. Those ones, I can bomb.
Its odd though, why do I know about the randomest and most unimportant things, when i ought to know more about what another word for pencil is......well i suppose there isnt much use in knowing the answer to either. So really, are crosswords just a word game with useless answers that no one really cares about and knows about?
I don't like these crosswords making me question my intelligence !

LOL i dont know who said that but its true. However, isn't it what that person says or does that can reflect how you feel. If someone said something rude to you like you are ugly, then it would make you feel sad and you will remember that sad feeling of emotion. If someone bought you a present then you would be happy. What if its the same person doing both of those things, there are mixed feelings, then what/ I suppose the answer is to teach you to do nice things and say nice things to people all the time because then they will have positive emotions about you. But we all know that life is not always that simple. I will never forget how happy someone makes me feel but i will also never forget how sad as well. Maybe the trick in this is to weigh it out and hope there are more positive feelings than negatives ones. Interesting quote, I'd like to learn more about this in the future.

Imagination

Remember when you were a child, and you didn't need toys or gadgets to keep you occupied for hours? Sure you had the latest toys because you wouldnt stop begging your parents to get them for you. But you didn't NEED them. All you really needed were a few simple household objects and your imagination. Your imagination took you farther than you ever thought you could, and back then you didnt think much of it, but i look back now and wonder, where did we ever come up with all that?
Maybe its true what they say, that children have a seventh sense, that they are gifted or that they can see things that adults cannot.
It was a time where a bed became a pirate ship, under the table became a cave, a few chairs and blankets became a house and you could spend hours and hours creating your own story line, being the characters in your own adventure. Whatever you wanted, you were in control. and I loved it.
Why can't we do it anymore, whats so weird about wanting to play a game when your in control from your very own imagination? When you're a child, its cute. When you're an adult its just plain crazy. Maybe the adults that are still imagining their own adventures and using their imaginations are not the crazy ones, maybe we are for losing sight of the wonderful imagination we once had.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

Theres a reason why i love this show so much.
It has everything that i've ever wanted, everything i've ever needed.
It reminds me that its out there and even if I can't find it, at least i can pretend.

Mozzletoff

I just want my freedom.
At almost 19 years old, I feel more impriosned and stuck than ever before.
Someone help my parents understand that I am not asking for a lot.
I just want my freedom to live my life. Is that so much to ask for?

Fish Tails

One time, at my uncles cottage, I went fishing. I caught this huge fish with a torn fin but before I could get it out of the water, it got away. But I continued fishing and eventually I caught that same fish again, this time I reeled it in and held on. I wasn't going to let it get away from me, twice.

Picture Perfect

Nowadays, with technology there is no reason to have those pictures that you take on your digital camera printed, they are put on c.ds or hardrives and they are set for life. But call me old fashioned, I like to print my pictures out. I like to have them in albums, in frames, hell even on the wall because I see without having to seek them out and it reminds me that there was a moment when something was perfect, even if it was just for the 60 seconds it took for that picture to be taken.
Its funny though, the most important, amazing and greatest experiences are the ones that we are not prepared for, the ones that we normally do not have our camera flashing away at. So in a sense the pictures that we do take, they aren't always the happiest that we have ever been or could ever be, but they are good enough.

Things to do this summerr

So far this summer has been great, almost two months into it and i'm having the best timee. Already I have accomplished soo many things that I have never done before and been to many new places.
Things I have already accompished so far:
-got tattoo
-tried bed tanning
-went to new starbucks locations in markham (I have now officially been to every one in markham)
-one night stand
-went to first bar/pub
-went blonde
-waxed my own eyebrowss
-let my friends cut my hair
-promenade mall (closer to completing my list of visiting all malls in Toronto and gta LOL )
-Roasting marshmellows and hotdogs in my backyard
-Went to BMO field TFC game (not the best experience tho )
-Seen a real movie set

I am suree there is moree but thats all I can come up with noww.

I will take any other experiences that happen to come my way this summer but if I can accomplish even half the things on this list then I will consider this summer a complete success and most definataly one to top in the future. I don't expect to complete them all and that is fine but most of them would be awesome. So far its been great and I hope that it continues to be as awesomee as it has beenn. :)
